SUMMARY:Introduction to Radar and Electronic Warfare Course
DESCRIPTION:This four day course covers the major concepts of Radar and Electronic Warfare (EW). The first two days cover radar and make use of the excellent book , Introduction fo Airborne Radar (Second ‘Edition) by Stimson. The material is presented in an easy-to-understand manner, with emphasis on those concepts of most importance to the EW matters to follow. Understanding radar principles is very important to effectively apply electronic warfare concepts to counter radar. The last two days make us of EW materials collected by the instructor, with many of the materials from his book, Radar Vulnerability to Jamming. The participant gains understanding of radar and how the main methods of EW interact with radar. Other EW topics are covered briefly, including infrared systems andf lares, and communications jamming. This provides the participant with a well rounded view of the entire spectrum of EW. The organization and use of EW databases is also covered so that the participant has some knowledge of how the information needed for effective jamming of radar systems is obtained and used by the EW community.\nURL: http://www.crows.org/details/170-radar-and-electronic-warfare.html\nPOC Email: events@crows.org\n
